Full Stop is Lauren and Alex Harvey. We started it in January 2011 and it has been a Xero practice from the first day.
Lauren is a CIMA-qualified management accountant and has spoken at Xerocon. Alex is the key client contact. We are also a couple having met optimising systems, efficiency and the insights they can give in the motor industry over 20 years ago. Full Stop is a director-run limited company, the same kind of company we work for. We know what it is to look at the bank balance and not know how much of it is ours.
That is why the service is built the way it is. Most accounting is done for HMRC: books tidied once a year, a bill nine months later, a conversation about the past. Ours is called Two Things - what you owe, what's left, every month. We close your books each month and send you your Position, so the conversation happens twelve times a year, about now.
We stop at 45 clients. Not as a slogan; as a limit. It's the number two people can close properly every month while still knowing each business. When we're full, we say so.
We built our own platform, Full Stop Intelligence, because nothing on the market checks a Xero file against HMRC and Companies House every month and puts the answer in one place. It's what lets two people do this for 45 companies without anything slipping.
