Kakeibo - The Japanese Art of Personal Savings

The Japanese believe that tidiness in one's finances is as important as tidiness in one's home.  Thinking Mindfully about where our money goes is in itself a recipe for calm and wellbeing.

Keeping a KAKEIBO is a great way to achieve this - at the start of each month simply decide how much you want to save and what you need to do to achieve your goal - we'll then journal this and you note down your expenditure and see how it tallies up.

We'll start a Kakeibo together talking through ideas of how to use it through 2018 and beyond in a journal of your choice from our lovely stock.  During the session we'll complete the Kakeibo for February - so bring details of your income and outgoings (access to online banking would be ideal and we'll be on hand to give our thoughts on things that might get forgotten as costs - so don't worry!)

We are now in our new home stocking a whole range of beautiful tools and so will be running these workshops in our space - when it all seems 'gloomy' outside, come and join us - we'll have the fire on, some great coffee brewing and some lovely cakes to keep us going amongst all the planning and numbers flying around!

The workshop includes:

* £10 Voucher to use against journals and stationery in the shop

* Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks and Snacks

* A talk on how to start journalling Kakeibo-Style

* Plenty of time to get creative and start your Kakeibo and be clear on your personal plans for 2018!
